Magnolia Place is one of our favorite larger properties that can accommodate up to 10 people. This attractive Southern home is located on a tree-lined street in the City of Long Beach Mississippi adjacent to the University of Southern Mississippi campus. The beach is a few blocks away as is a vibrant downtown area and harbor. This small city celebrates with parades and events all year. If you live in a large crowded city or suburb and want to “come home” this truly is a slice of Americana. Both our property and the surroundings.
You will love the live oaks and other trees on our property and surrounding it. The house in located on a large property with a front yard large enough to host games. The backyard is wide open. Don’t forget to bring some wood for the fire pit. This is one of the most popular items at a Mississippi Gulf Coast property. Did I mention there is plenty of parking in the very long driveway?
Enter the house through the electronic lock, no need for keys. The door is covered by a nice lighted porch. Most people enter through the side door which is closer to the drive area. Inside you will find a large formal dining area in a large open area with a giant flat screen. A great room for gatherings.
The first bedroom is located at the end of the living room with four twin beds. A great place for kids or even adults. Walk around to the fully equipped kitchen and laundry room and enter the formal living room. You will discover a number of nooks with seating for private conversations (or where the teenagers can use their iPhones).
The next bedroom has a full-sized bed and is elegantly decorated. The large formal living room in front of the fireplace (non-operational) is a great place to relax and enjoy the company of others.
The third bedroom contains two twin beds and is decorated as nicely as all of the other bedrooms. Around the corner is the master bedroom with a queen-sized encased in a white antique finished head and footboard. This bedroom comes with its own bathroom.
The very large two-room bath is in the center of the house and serves the other bedrooms. This massive area allows multiple people to get ready at the same time. Great for coming home after swimming at the beach all day. Preparing to go out for entertainment in the evening is a breeze.
Everything is available for your stay to be memorable. Cook meals, wash your Beach wear, enjoy the fire pit, or just hang around. Don’t miss walking around on the University campus and seeing one of the oldest live oak trees in existence. Don’t forget to go to the beach. You can walk to the beach (15 minutes) or drive over, park for free and after your beach time, try one of the beach-close restaurants.
Consider bringing the family to the Mississippi Gulf Coast when your daughter or son registers for their first semester. Simply walk onto the campus from our beautiful property. Family reunions are another reason to stay at Magnolia Place.

This house is Amazing! It was perfect for 3 couples. We had a Great stay. The kitchen is fully equipped, They thought of everything you could possibly need. The location is also great. We were in a very guiet neighborhood. We especially enjoyed the backyard. We grilled 3 nights out of 4. Lol. We brought our own chairs, because we went to cruising the coast, and we spent more time hanging out in the backyard then anywhere else. We highly recommend this house and we would definitely stay here again. Also, the house is decorated so beautifully, I loved so many things in the home. They did a fantastic job decorating this beauty!

What a lovely, welcoming home! The roomy space allowed our group of five to spread out into all four bedrooms. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evening and managed a little beach time each day…even during a blustery March week. We explored the area on a couple of walks, drove to downtown Long Beach for ice cream and a couple of meals, drove to a Biloxi mall one rainy day, and more. The spacious, well-equipped kitchen made meal prep easy. I definitely recommend this wonderful home and hope to return here again.

We had a wonderful time at Magnolia Place in June. The home is truly set up for the enjoyment of its guests and provides a home-away-from-home atmosphere where we were able to relax and recharge. The kitchen is very well-equipped and has high quality items. One morning we bought fresh shrimp off the shrimp boats and our whole family joined in with making shrimp gumbo that night. Great memory! One of the unique features of the house is a separate dressing area adjoining one of the bathrooms, making it so handy for several people to get ready at one time. It’s an easy walk to the beach. We enjoyed sun-bathing, long walks and looking for hermit crabs. It is close to Long Beach’s quaint downtown area. My grand-daughter loved the splash pad there in the town center and the ice cream shop.
Delicious! Be sure and check out the “Friendship Oak” on the USM campus right next door to the house. It’s over 500 years old! Also look for Bear Point Bayou (also on the campus). You can see tons of turtles from the walking bridge. The house is located very close to Winn Dixie, and Wal-Mart is just down the road in Pass Christian. Magnolia Place was the perfect place for our family to relax and unwind. We will definitely be back!
