Horn Island is the premier recreational island in the Mississippi Sound. Every year thousands drive their boats there and stay for the day or camp overnight. Beautiful beaches and the southern beaches have waves. Some even surf there. There is no charge to visit the island and you can camp there for up to two weeks at no cost. Its primitive so bring water, food and necessities.
